They want to extend the battery time of the devices so they kill processes running in the background and suppress apps which activate themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Even though Gentle Wakeup does not consume any battery when in background and the alarm is clearly defined as a clock alarm some manufacturers still ignore these settings and just blindly suppress any app by default.<\/p>\n<p>Without white-listing the app there is a risk that the alarm does not fire if the app has not been used for a few hours or some days.<\/p>\n\n<p>Please check if any of the following settings can be set on your phone and adjust them to the recommended value. If a setting is missing or needs to be corrected please use &#8220;Send Feedback&#8221; in the app. You can also use a standard Android alarm 5 minutes later in the first week until you are sure that it is working properly.<\/p>\n\n<p>Android 11 and higher<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Settings \/ Apps \/ Gentle Wakeup \/ Battery \/ Optimize Battery Usage<br \/>\n<\/strong>Switch the filter for the list from <em>Apps not optimized<\/em> to <em>All<\/em>. Scroll down to Gentle Wakeup or type the app name in the search field from the search icon. Disable the slider to put the app into the list of<em> Apps not optimized<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Settings \/ Apps \/ Gentle Wakeup \/ Battery \/ Optimize Battery Usage<br \/>\n<\/strong>Set to <em>Unrestricted<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Settings \/ Device care \/ Battery \/ Background Usage Limits<br \/>\nSettings \/ Battery \/ Background Usage Limits<br \/>\nSettings \/ Battery and Device care \/ Tap on Battery \/ Background Usage Limits<\/strong><br \/>\nTurn off <em>Put unused apps to sleep<\/em>. Tap on <em>Sleeping apps<\/em> and remove Gentle Wakeup if it is in the list.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Settings \/ Device care \/ Battery \/ More Battery Settings<\/strong><br \/>\nDisable Adaptive battery.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Settings \/ Device care \/ Battery \/ 3 dots at the top right \/ Automation<br \/>\n<\/strong>Tap on Automation and disable &#8220;Auto optimize daily&#8221; and &#8220;Adaptive power saving&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Settings \/ Device care \/ Battery \/ 3 dots at the top right \/ Advanced<\/strong><br \/>\nTap on Advanced and disable &#8220;Auto optimize&#8221; and &#8220;Optimize settings&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Settings \/ Display \/ Edge Panels<\/strong><br \/>\nDo not use Edge Lighting for Gentle Wakeup. If you want to use Edge Lighting then remove the app from the application list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Android 10<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Settings \/ Device care \/ Battery \/ 3 dots at the top right \/ Settings<br \/>\nSettings \/ Device care \/ Battery \/ App power management<\/strong><br \/>\nTurn off <em>Put unused\u00a0 apps to sleep<\/em>. Turn off <em>Auto disable unused apps<\/em>. Tap on <em>Sleeping apps<\/em> and remove Gentle Wakeup if it is in the list.
